Press Release: With this summer being one of the hottest summers Chicago has seen in recent time (nationwide for that matter), it is only appropriate that Simeon Viltz of The Primeridian and Mulatto Patriot (collectively named Ray Elementary) drop the first video for their song “Hot Day” off their self titled debut album dropping October 5th on World Teacher Day. The collective consists of Simeon Viltz as the emcee and Mulatto Patriot on production while the Ray Elementary album includes features from Uncle Imani of The Pharcyde, Psalm One, Pugs Atomz, Neak, Sincerely Yours, Maggie of Sidewalk Chalk, Squair Blaq of Animate Objects & The Chicago Afrobeat Project, Race of The Primeridian and more…

The video was shot by Roper Fuentes and edited by Pugs Atomz while the song, “Hot Day” features additional keys by Charlie Coffeen of Sidewalk Chalk, bass by Prashant Vallury of Animate Objects, Percussion by Chris Paquette as well Trumpet and Vibes by Simeon Viltz. “Hot Day” was produced & Mixed by Mulatto Patriot.
